Product description

Depletion of carbohydrate stores in the body and dehydration are the two main causes of fatigue in (endurance) exercise. Because (endurance) athletes often take too much or too little carbohydrates, and often in the wrong concentration, the absorption of carbohydrates and fluid is not always optimal. As a result, performance loss can occur, and gastrointestinal symptoms can develop. By choosing a qualitative isotonic sports drink, these symptoms can be prevented to some extent. Also, dehydration and loss of salt (loss of sodium) are significant causes of muscle cramps during prolonged endurance exercise.

This is particularly important for athletes who not only sweat a lot, but also sweat out lots of salts, and especially during exercise in a hot environment that causes a high sweat losses. Despite the high level of electrolytes, the "6d ISOTONIC SPORTS DRINK" is still perfectly isotonic, which ensures the optimal absorption of both water and energy (sugars) simultaneously. Thanks to the neutral pH (~7.0), this drink is extremely suitable for endurance athletes because it is not "aggressive" on the stomach. In fact, no acids are added to the drink. Moreover, a pH lower than 5.5 dissolves tooth enamel. Given that sports drinks are usually consumed sip by sip, their residues often remain in the oral cavity for a considerable time, making dental erosion a common problem for endurance athletes.
